Elon Musk got drug tested by the FBI after Joe Rogan interview

Elon Musk claims that after smoking marijuana with Joe Rogan, the government began to scrutinize him and that he was subjected to random drug testing.

The richest man in the world sat down for a podcast on Tuesday with the Nelk Boys and John Shahidi, recalling the criticism he received from Uncle Sam over what he claims was one insignificant blunt rip while appearing on Rogan’s show.

In September 2018, Elon got heated with Joe in front of the camera while discussing Tesla’s plans for an airplane. Following the smoke sesh, Tesla’s stock briefly fell after the video became widely popular.

Elon describes the federal response as “pretty nutty,” explaining that because he runs SpaceX, which receives lucrative government contracts, the feds had to test him for a variety of illegal drugs because ganja is still illegal at the federal level.

Elon affirms that his SpaceX rivals, who he claims pressured the feds to test his urine, were the real impetus behind the arbitrary drug tests.

The businessman claimed that when he first started smoking marijuana, he didn’t anticipate facing such criticism.

Musk’s marijuana use on Rogan’s podcast “rankled” some at NASA’s highest levels, which led the organization to assess the “culture” at SpaceX.

The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX spoke with Joe Rogan for more than two and a half hours about what it’s like in his head, running a successful car company, and pushing for government regulation of artificial intelligence.

After accepting what Rogan claimed to be a joint of marijuana and tobacco and taking a puff, Musk raised eyebrows on social media. He asked, “I mean, it’s legal, right?”

The interview was conducted in California, where marijuana is legal, but Musk’s phone later started buzzing. “I’m getting text messages from friends saying, ‘What the hell are you doing smoking weed?'” he said.

Musk also said that he’s “not a regular smoker of weed” because he “doesn’t find it’s very good for productivity.”
