In an unprecedented scenario, Week 2 of the NFL closes with not just one, but two traditional Monday Night Football games, the first of which will take place at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York which will be at full capacity to support the Buffalo Bills who have their home opener of the 2022 NFL season when they host the Tennessee Titans.
Great start to the season for the Bills
It seems like a long time ago, but only 11 days ago, last Thursday, September 8, the Bills opened the season with a magnificent 31-10 NFL Kickoff win over the Los Angeles Rams in a game they dominated especially in the second half.
The two most outstanding players for the Bills were quarterback Josh Allen and outside linebacker Von Miller, the latter recently signed as a free agent from the Rams. Allen completed 26 of 31 passes for 297 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions, in addition to being the team’s leader on the ground with 10 carries for 56 yards and one visit to the end zone, while Miller added four tackles and two sacks.
Disappointing start to the season for the Titans
The reality for the Titans is the opposite, as, to everyone’s surprise, they lost dramatically in Week 1 at home to the New York Giants by a score of 21-20.
Statistically it was not a bad game for quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who completed 20 of the 33 passes he attempted for 266 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions, who did not shine was star running back Derrick Henry, who carried the ball 21 times and only managed 82 yards.
