Jalen Hill battled depression

Jalen Hill had been battling against both anxiety and depression for a number of years. Those issues worsened after he was suspended by the NCAA in his first season following an arrest in China for shoplifting.

“Focus on the good stuff,” Hill said.

“Because when you’re in a situation when you’re anxious or going through some mental health issues, you tend to just focus on that and that’s pretty much the only thing you’ll feel because it’s the only thing your mind is focused on.”
