George Pickens recreates the Odell Beckham legendary one-handed catch and it is glorious

The Week 3 Thursday Night Football game between the Steelers and Browns will always be remembered thanks to rookie receiver George Pickens. The first year receiver made it possible for the Steelers to tie the game in the first quarter (7-7) after setting the scene with an incredible one-handed catch.

The 36-yard catch by George Pickens brought everyone back to November 23rd of 2014, when then (also) rookie Odell Beckham Jr. made the play simply known as “the catch”. OBJ did the football version of posterizing Cowboys cornerback Brandon Carr.

Funny enough, George Pickens had openly aired out his grievances earlier this week with Steelers QB Mitch Trubisky, stating that he “is open 99% of the time”. The rookie will likely be content with the Steelers’ signal caller after giving a pass that he could shine with on his first primetime appearance to date.
