Drama at Buckingham: Prince Andrew wept after learning he will never return to royal life

Almost three years ago, Prince Andrew was relieved of his royal duties, and now sources close to Buckingham say that King Charles III told his younger brother that he will never again perform royal duties, causing the least of the children of the late Queen Elizabeth II to mourn and cry.

This happened during a morning meeting of the royal family just before the queen’s death. Andrew later broke down in tears again when he was told he would not be able to wear a military uniform to his mother’s funeral, reports Daily Mail.

Andrew ended up sunk by his relationship with Epstein

“As naive as it sounds, he always hoped to regain his position as a royal,” the source said of Andrew, 62, who was also stripped of his royal titles over his links to the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and his sex scandal.

“At the meeting, Charles told him that he can go away and have a good life, a nice life, but that his public life as a royal has come to an end. He was told, ‘You have to accept it,'” the insider said.

The news came as a shock to Andrew, as he had always hoped there would be a path back to his royal life.

Depression gripped Andrew

After hearing from his older brother that he would not be able to return to public life, Andrew fell into depression, to such a degree that witnesses comment that he has secluded himself in his Windsor home.

“He has no idea what the future holds and has no real plans,” the insider commented. “He is struggling to accept that this is the end of the road for him as a royal. It’s all he’s ever known,” the source said.
